You can now download Pervasive products from the Analytica Business Systems online store, and we can also now provide your License Key immediately via email at no extra charge.
This means that if you need an immediate installation or have an evaluation license expiring soon, you can have your PSQL server or Workgroup Engine up and running today.
We are starting with all the Windows versions of Pervasive.SQL v9 and expanding the service from there.
You can activate the electronic License Key distribution service at order time by selecting the License Key Handling Option before clicking the "Buy" button.
You will be offered the opportunity to download the product you ordered after you check out. You aren't required to download if you don't want to. Physical product will be shipped to you buy default unless you explicitly choose otherwise.

The price increase will be across the board, and will take effect on September 18, 2007.
Additionally, upgrades to v9 from versions prior to v8 will be discontinued. If you need to upgrade a Btrieve, v7 or v2000i license to v9, you probably should act quickly.

Standard Shipping Method Upgraded
Analytica's order fulfillment service has changed primary carriers and has eliminated ground shipping as the "standard" shipping method. The new "standard" shipping method is 2nd Business Day. The shipping method "3-day Select" has also been eliminated. That means that for U.S. domestic shipments, there are now only two choices of shipping method, 2nd Day and Next Day.
The elimination of ground shipping makes it impossible for us to continue to offer free standard shipping. We apologize.
The new shipping charges for domestic U.S. shipments are:
- Standard (2nd Day): $15 for quantity 1, $10 each additional of same item
- Next Day: $25 for quantity 1, $10 each additional of same item

As a reminder, PSQL v7, v2000i and v8 are no longer supported*. While it is certainly possible that any or all of these versions will function perfectly on Windows Vista, Pervasive will make no effort to validate those versions on the new O/S. If you are considering running your important applications on Windows Vista, we suggest that you upgrade as soon as possible to PSQL v9.5. Actually, we think it's a really good idea to upgrade, anyway.

Price for User Count Increases Now Same as Full License
Effective 1 Jan 2006, Pervasive has eliminated the price differential between Full Product and User Count Increases for like user counts.
Historically, a User Count Increase has sold at a discount relative to the Full Product for the same number of seats. The reasoning is that 10 seats are 10 seats, and have the same value in any case; therefore, the list price from now on will be the same.
For the time being, there will continue to be separate product codes for UCIs and Full Product. It is our opinion that once the current stock of UCIs are depleted, the UCI product code will be superseded by the existing Full Product code.
Please note that this new pricing policy only applies to Pervasive.SQL Database Products and not, at this time, Data Ecology Products (AuditMaster, DataExchange and Backup Agent).

That's all well and good, and the more recent releases of Pervasive.SQL do an excellent job of self-configuration. However, Pervasive.SQL can only work with what's available, and the minimum system configuration will not...

Today Wayne Freeman and his wife Barbara returned from Italy where they had been living for the past four months. The primary purpose of the sojourn was for Wayne to gain a functional level of fluency in the Italian language. In that sense, the trip was a success, and yet it was so much more enriching in many other ways, both personally and professionally.
