         REQUIRED ENTRY FOR PAYROLL

This is the 6 character ALPHANUMERIC code which identifies the Job

Master Record in the JOB MASTER FILE. After entry of a valid code

and proceeding to the next field, you will see the JOB NAME in

    the VERIFICATION WINDOW.(during Input ONLY)

The JOB CODE points to a JOB MASTER RECORD where Job Name, Address,

Tax Information, Reporting Requirements, and Contract & Budget

    Amounts are kept.

JOB CODE SETUP SCHEME - One scheme that keeps jobs in DATE SEQUENCE

uses the last 2 digits of the year, followed by the month, followed

by a 2 digit sequence number.

Example: 970206  (This was the SIXTH Job started in Feb., 1997).

If this code does NOT EXIST in the Master File, then a SCAN FOR WINDOW

will pop up listing the codes closest to the one you keyed in.

If you keyed in a wrong code, CLICK on the proper Job Code in the

Window and that code will be placed in the field.

If the code is correct but the Job Master is not in the file, click

on the CANCEL BUTTON, then click on the Windows Menu Bar at top left

of screen. Click on "Jobs" to bring up the Job Maintenance Screen, and

ADD A NEW JOB. When finished, you'll exit back to your Input Screen.
